Open Call for Artists and Creatives - Familiar Ground

Deadline: Midnight Sunday 23rd May

Big Shop Friday is recruiting artists to lead workshops as part of our 2021 Summer Programme, Familiar Ground, made possible through funding from Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

We are looking for local artists working in any creative discipline (visual arts, dance, music etc) to lead a 2 hour workshop or event for people aged 18+. The focus must be on the local nature and/or built environment of Milton Keynes, exploring themes of placemaking and belonging. We are more interested in the process of making, rather than achieving a specific ‘product’, encouraging a form of therapeutic expression in a creative and non-judgmental environment.
For full information and how to apply please download the PDF.

Applications should be submitted via email to
bigshopfriday@gmail.com

We encourage applications from all backgrounds and communities. We actively encourage BAME and disabled applicants and value the positive impact that difference has on our teams. We are committed to equality and diversity within our workforce and all opportunities provided by Big Shop Friday.
